I think the first order of business to is wish you all a Happy New Year.

The start of the year has been pretty uneventful so far except I had half the day off at work today and that was pretty damn nice.

And now I can finally start to reveal some of the things I've been writing. Yes, apparently I still retain the ability to write even though I was starting to despair that I might have lost it.

So for yuletide this year I wrote the following:

I got a rather open prompt so I decided to mull things over a bit and see what wanted to burst forth. I had few ideas and they had all one thing in common, Vince being insecure about their relationship. So what I ended up writing, was really a conversation between Stuart and Vince about exactly that. The basic idea concentrated.

I'm pretty happy with it and I'm surprised how easily it came to me when I started writing it. Normally it takes a while for me to get into writing my Yuletide fics.

And a big thank you to andbless_mybaby for writing me that gorgeous American Horror Story fic, the after hours.

I want to mention couple of flawless things.

As for general fic likes, I'm easy to please really. I confess to be a bit of romantic as well as avid enjoyer of the racier sort of fanfic but I have an appreciation for most genres and writing styles. I'd rather want a writer being comfortable than bending backwards just to please me. Really, mostly I love a good piece of fanfiction. I suppose my somewhat defunct rec list might help you a bit.

I'm not easy to squick though I'd prefer it if all bloodplay is kept far away from me. I'm not keen on non-con (can read it under certain circumstances) and would prefer not to be tested with that in my gift fic. I don't really like kidfic (love it when kids are PoV characters but prefer not to read about the perils of parenthood and other such matters). Other than that, I don't think you need to worry much.

I wish you, dear Yuletide writer, all the best in your endeavors. I hope you have loads of fun writing a fic for me as I have a feeling whatever you'll come up with, will totally make my holidays.

I should really deliver some reviews here. One for SPN 6.09 and one for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. But all I'm going to say is that SPN 6.09 was hilarious and the movie was awesome and I need to see it again soon (I might write more about it at a later point).

Well, I'm not quite certain. I remember watching figure skating at the Winter Olympics 1994 but I think I may have been watching skating earlier. At least I remember Katarina Witt competing and winning and the Carmen production with the two Brians and her. But I think the seed for my obsession was sown when I watched the 1998 Winter Olympics and saw Anissina's and Peizerat's free dance. But figure skating used to be a thing I only watched every four years until this year. And now I have an obsession.

It's my sincere wish that my prompts are inspiring to you and that they aren't causing you to *headdesk* or anything. However, if my prompts may indirectly caused any serious damage to your furniture, I'm willing to offer you reparations though I can't really help my fic urges. Now, for the prompts:

Now about my general likes when it comes to fics. I have a rec list on Delicious for you to check out and I like all kinds though of course I do tend to like it on the explicit side but I'm not adverse to the lower ratings. If you potentially matched up with me on figure skating RPF, then you probably were in great luck as I've been reading quite heavily there so you should get a pretty clear view of my tastes there. But in all honesty, I'm easy to please. I like most genres and writing styles and such. Write what you want.

I do have dislikes and I have to mention my ultimate squick first. I don't like bloodplay (except in the rare vampire fic) so I'd advise you keep that out. Also if including non-con, please step lightly. It's not a squick or a trigger or anything like that. I'm just not all that into it. Also kidfic isn't something I seek out. I deal with kids in my job and I tend to pick away at the characterization in kidfics. Nobody wants that, do they?

But overall, dear yule goat, I'm going to be so happy with whatever you are going to write for me. Things made with love and care make the greatest yuletide gifts and that's all I want.

Like a lot of other good people, I have an embarrassment squick and upon seeing the still for this (this being a video of Jared and Jensen claiming they don't have any accounts on social media websites), the said squick spiked. But watching it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, maybe because Jared seems pretty OK with talking into what appears to be a camera phone camera in a badly lit trailer but Jensen kind of looks like a) he hasn't got his morning coffee yet and b) he'd rather have a colonoscopy than do this video. I feel ya, Jensen.

I've been either sleeping or groggy for those roughly 24 hours I've experienced of 2010. Might have something to do with the lack of sleep the night before and it's not a taste of things to come.

Am going to point out that the yuletide reveals are up.

I wrote a bizarre little fic called Green Grapes. It's a Project Runway RPF fic and features Tim Gunn being bewildered by a suite at the Ritz in Paris. Yeah, I don't know either. I was there just for the ride.

Massive love to Oyster and halotolerant for the fics they wrote for me.

Got a part of my Christmas wish. A full night's sleep. Probably had something to do with the amount of akvavit, red wine and Bénédictine liqueur I consumed.

Then I woke up this morning to two lovely Yuletide fics meant for me.

First I have to mention the awesome A Bit of Fry and Laurie fic I received, featuring Tony and Control and written in script format. Funny and brilliant really. Go forth and read The Lingerie Massacres.

Then I received a fic that was so tailored made for me. Before I knew of such a thing as fandom and way before I knew about RPF, I totally shipped Robbie Williams/Mark Owen from Take That. And now I have a Robbie/Mark story written for me and it hits all kinds of spots for me. Yeah, just read Come On.

I think I'm off to read more Yuletide fic and maybe also enjoy my Christmas loot. And listen to Take That.

It's the time of the year when Yuletide creeps upon you. So dear Yuletide writer, you got assigned little old me. Well, crazy little old me.

I do hope you are not tearing out your hair over my pretty open requests. But I'm pretty easy to please really. I like fluff, I like angst, I enjoy the occasional darkfic. I don't squick easily (more on that later) and I don't have any triggers or at least not any I've encountered in my eight plus years in fandom.

I don't have any particular dislikes that I expect to crop up. My dislikes have always been fandom specific and let's not go there. You really don't want hear about how much I hate Ron-bashing since you are not going to write me a Harry Potter fic.

My squicks can be summed up in one word: bloodplay. Well, also watersports and scat but I won't be half as disappointed if you inadvertently include scat than you'd include bloodplay. Don't ask why. It would be true teal deer.

So yeah, basically I'm easy to please and I will probably love your fic.
